Description:
The 854 is a compact Infrared Receiver that readily accepts IR signal commands from a handheld IR remote control and relays the signals to the audio/video equipment for operation from another room. The 854 is typically used in either a "Direct" or "Remote" application. When used Direct, the unit is connected directly to an IR connecting block like the Russound 857. In Remote installations, it is mounted using an interface such as the Russound IRB-1 in-wall connecting block. In both applications, the 854 is typically connected to the "IR Receiver In" jack using a standard 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo mini-plug.
